back to reality and school work and projects and exams.. *bleah*
but it was a good break to say the least.. =)
onli on wed morning did we find out that we were leaving on wed evening =P
cos we weren't allowed to fit 6 ppl in one car across the border.. so poor jem had to switch to aaron's car to drive over and drive back..
it was a crazt drive on wed nite~ it was practically blizzarding~! driving conditions were sooo bad.. and there were like so many crashes and accidents all around.. thank God all of us were safe and sound.. thanks to our drivers who -did- drive safel=)
we took 8 whole hours to get to toronto~! reached there about 2 am in e morning.. and found our college hostel accomodation.. this 6 person bunk per room place.. =P
11 of us crammed there for the first nite cos we din intend to stay there on wed in the first place. but oh wells.. it was ok.. just realli realli cold and we din noe how to switch on the heater.. so all of us were freezing and were covering ourselves with coats and jackets.. christine and i were huddled up on the mattress waking up every hour or so cos our toes were freezing themselves off.. =P

another experience and interesting memory made...
we had LOTS of food~!!!!
ate dim sum for lunch on thursday and for brunch on friday too.. =) was amazing~! i nv enjoyed dim sum so much before.. =P
had chee cheong fun and egg tarts and cha siew baos and har kaus and siew mais..

i was so happily stuffing myself..

anyways.. we went to pacific mall that day.. the whole place is SO asian..
its crazy.. it realli doesn't feel like i'm anywhere near canada or us..
we walk-walked for abit and ended up karaoke-ing for 4 hours.. val was estatic... she luvs k-boxing.. and misses it loads..
was nice to see her so happy.. *smiles*
went to another chinese restaurant for dinner where chris and i shared xian yu fried rice.. =) *tummy rumbles*
i positively put on a lot a lot of weight on this trip

oh wells.. wonder wat ppl will say when they see me back home..*ponders with dread* =P
anyways.. it was blizzarding -again-.. even worse this time..
the snow was blowing all over.. all of us were frozen and so was the car door.. it refused to close~!
so junrong had to hold it close while we drove to dinner place.. thankfully after we drove abit the mechanism kinda warmed up and the door shut properly again.. after which we din dare to touch that door for the whole entire trip.. *laffs*
used the other door for the next two days..
it was so cold that nite that there was even a layer of ice on the -inside- of the car windscreen and windows~!! *disbelief*
it was like 14 degrees farenheit then?? i think.. *ponders*
oh wells..
the next day we went to niagara falls.. =) pretty pretty pretty~!
awesome and breathtaking and there were these pretty rainbows.. (yes not one, but TWO rainbows) =)
and the main rainbow made a whole big circle and somehow always ended up where we were.. haha.. we were the pot of gold at the end of e rainbow.. =)
eveyrthing was iced up.. the lampposts, the trees.. the ground..
after our trip to niagara we headed to cn towers.. =)
caught sunset there.. enjoyed the beautiful view of toronto from way above=) then we went to hello saigon for dinner.. a realli realli nice dinner..=)
ate lemongrass prok chop with rice.. and it came with this cute little durian dessert thingey too.. *beams*
drove downtown afterwards.. walked around for a bit.. went to sears.. then sat down at hard rock to chill.. chris and i shared a starwberry daiquiri something.. that was realli nice.. and i ordered fries and garlic bread.. see?? i told u i realli pigged out over at toronto.. and actualli i haven't stopped pigging out since.. *sheepish*
we just had two large pizzas delivered to the twins room for dinner.. =P
spent the whole day doing work after returning from church and lunch..
the sermon today was realli good.. or at least the best i've heard so far in my stay in ann arbor..
today's sermon was about joy =)
being joyful =)
and u noe wat? its true.. u -can- choose whether or not to be joyful.. things will def come our way and try all means and ways to get us down.. but once we're hit and haf cried for abit, its time to find the joy we all haf deep down inside... that joy that God can give us freely and abundantly..
and rejoice~! cos we have so much more to rejoice about..
despite the 4 ME assignments and 3 math 216 assigments and major sudoku computing project.. we all still haf each other~! despite the cold biting frosty air out side.. we still have our comfy beds to return to~!
and despite all the crummy situations that's tearing me up.. i still have hopes =)
the future holds even better things for me.. i just haf to get thru now.. and i'll emerge stronger..
the sweet things in the past will always stay dear to me and have a special place somewhere locked up in my heart and mind.. but i can't let it swell and take up all the space i haf there.. cos there'll be sweeter things to come, sweeter memories to share...
wat i had was precious and still is.. but its time to stop clinging on.. and its time to make way for more blessings to come.. harping on wat is past and gone will onli serve to rob me of the joy i could possibly experience in the present, and in the future..
