weather change is causing me to feel bleahness... i'm all sniffy, croaky and xian~

math was realli realli bad.. and e stupid professor insists i'm wrong when e answer was so correct~! =( conclusion: [irritating prof] goes "i'll think about it", and yanks paper away from me.

on e other hand, me 211 went ok.. i hope.. studied a fair amount for it so i hope i do ok..*hopeful*

thankfulness~

can't express enough how thankful i am and touched i am by everyone who put in so much effort into the dance~

i realli had a great time and this dance gave me so much to take away from it.. nothing would have been the same without any of u guys.. esther, kaizhen, joann, gena... and of course the guys too.. chin, jer, junrong, wilson, tianhan~! u guys did better than i ever expected.. haha i nv had much faith in singaporean guys dancers till now =P thanx guys for taking our weight (esp jer cos i'm e heaviest =S) and for not dropping us~! =)

and many thanx to all who came down all the way to support us and cheer for us~! if not for u we wouldn't be dancing~ =P and we wouldn't haf enjoyed dancing so much if not for the frens we knew were in e crowd =P

had a looong day machining two wax blocks and sanding them for our mouse...
then we drove up to the plymouth road hardware store to look for supplies for our hinge.. 1/8" rod and 16 ga nails and 4 little washers...

hardware store reminded me of daddie.. had so many tools tt daddie would luv to look at and prob buy...

gave ballroom a miss cos i realli needed a time out~
for e first and prob the only time..

jem came over for awhile... after not catching up for a realli realli long time cos we're all so busy.. they went down to e lounge to study.. while i took a nice long hot shower and am lounging here in my room.. i'm gonna take my me250 notes and snuggle in bed and attempt to read them before i attempt my homework..

its wear green and get drunk day~.. supposedly an irish tradition...

while everyone else is throwing up, i am cleaning up~!

proud of myself.. started with the sink and the mirror... finally made full use of tt spray spray multipurpose thingey we bought ages ago..

then i cleared up the room and swept the entire floor free of dust..(or at least areas visible and used.. =P) then i took a roll of toilet paper and that spray spray thing and got down on my knees and wiped the whole floor up~! i even wiped my slippers and washed my feet after.. heh..so now i can walk bare footed in my room~! *pleased*

i declare our floor clean from our beds to the end of the shoe rack~! no shoes allowed past the forbidden line..

i feel clean. and happy. =)

haha i was so into cleaning that i decied to polish my little pinky ring hannah got me over christmas break.. and was so enthusiastic about it i ended up deforming it with too much force instead.. heh.

am pretty confused with me 211 though, i need to one day sit down and dedicate my whole time to reading through that text book and try and comprehend every little thing it's trying to say.
i do seriously wonder tho, when i'll ever haf e time, patience and concentration to do that.. *hms*

we're gonna start machining out wireless optical foldable mouse on monday~! or at least the epoxy mould that we're gonna make it out of.. its quite exciting, but it also means that we haf two team meetings this weekend to get the g-codes for e machining out. =( *bleah* i hope it goes well..

i can feel myself being transformed into a mechanical engineer... it suddenly seems so real and so evident tt almost everything i'm doing has smth to do w it..

its not a bad thing tho.. cos all e machining is e best part of it.. actualli making e stuff is what i'm in this whole thing for.
and now e candle stick holder will be on my table to remind me that.. =P

in GG brown now rite after making the top portion of our brass candle stick holder in ME 250 lab.. the machining and everything was really neat. =) gonna machine the stand for the bottom part on wednesday...

was supposed to do mathlab w val and serene.. but i can't get them and they haven't contacted me yet.. hms.. after this got me 250 meeting with my project groupmates..

i've got so many things to do~! =(

2 weeks and 2 dayS~ we'll make it e best we can.. but most of all we'll haf fun.. tt's wat dancing is all about anyways... its all about enjoying e music, enjoying the movement, enjoying the company, e friendships built, the amazing memories~

its stressful and hardwork perhaps..
but rite now i think it is also my back up steam engine~ its my motivation and its keeping me going~
its making life a little more worth living~
and tt's worth putting every little effort into it =)

A Living Hope

Life is hard for everybody, but it's much harder for some than for others. Putting our trust in Christ our Savior does little to change that. Anticipating what God has in store for us can put a smile in our heart. Hope gives us poise and lets us live with inner strength, because we knew that one day we will be dramatically different than we are now.

If you are in some way damaged by past abuse or feeling defeated by sin, or if u feel so inferior to others that you walk with your eyes to the ground, take heart in what God has in store for you. Live today with the courage God gives you. Make what you can of your afflictions. But rejoice, because all that degrades and limits you is only temporary. It will be gone - some of it sooner rather than later.

If you have a living hope in Christ, you can deal with your past because of your future. God's glorious best for you lies ahead.

Lord, give us grace to trust You when

did pretty ok on ME 250.. 83.. one standard deviation away from e mean.. which was 73.. hms.. not great.. but above average.. and i'm thankful.. coupled with the fact that my other papers did pretty well. =) i can't complain~

had sushi for lunch today~ 5 dollars.. decided to treat myself.. =P from stache's..
and then just went to bursley to get food to exchange from my meal credit =P since i din use my meal credits and dun intend to use it much either~ =P

engine 100 midterm was surprisingly pretty good.. thankful =)
had lunch today at bursley =) tt's was a good thing too.. usually dun get proper lunch..
then watched interesting video on how ford mustangs are made~
we're starting on the second half of ME 250 lectures.. manufacturing.. hopefully this half will be better than the last.. its a good change from visualisations~
then i managed to finish my me 250 lab today~ its a miracle =)
then i went home and managed to get a nap... its a rest i realli need~ =)

so.. yups i haf many things to be worried about.. other not so nice things..
but still i am blessed in many tiny ways i tend to take for granted..

isn't life this way? we tend to take the most basic blessings for granted.. but these are the things that make our lives so much more worth living...
maybe we'll only appreciate them when they're not there anymore..
